Event: Enjoy the beautiful Tanglefoot Trail® and experience the scenic woods and countryside of North Mississippi. The Tour de Bodock Bicycle Ride is one event of many events held as part of the Pontotoc Bodock Festival, including live music downtown and an early morning pancake breakfast benefitting the Pontotoc Fire Department. All you can eat pancakes are available for $5 at the downtown fire station on Main Street starting at 6:00am. Plan to visit Pontotoc, enjoy the bicycle ride, and hang around afterwards to enjoy the festival!
Distances and description: Metric Century (100k, 62 miles), Half Metric Century (50k, 31 miles), 20 miles, and 10k (6.2 miles) - something for everyone! The Metric Century and Half Metric Century will once again offer two different courses - one that is mostly flat with gentle slopes and one with several challenging hills. Have it your way - hills or no hills! All courses are well marked and patrolled by volunteers to assist with any needs that may arise. The courses will also have aid stations stocked with water and snacks. All riders must wear a helmet.
Freebies: A unique dry fit t-shirt is guaranteed to everyone registered prior to August 14th. These shirts were a big hit with participants in prior years. Late registrants will receive a t-shirt as long as supplies are available. Unique custom designed cycling socks from the SockGuy! These are high quality socks designed for cyclists and other athletes. Finisher medals for all who complete the event! Food and beverages! Riders will enjoy post ride food and beverages at the Gateway in Pontotoc. This event is truly well worth the entry fee.
Please note: Children are encouraged to enter and parents are welcome to stroll those who are too young to bike. You do not have to complete the entire distance. The Trail facilitates an out and back ride of any distance. We want everyone to have an enjoyable experience and to see first hand what Pontotoc and the Tanglefoot Trail® have to offer!
Entry Fee: Enter early and save! The metric century, half metric century, and 20 mile ride fee is $30 if registered by July 15, $35 if registered by August 14, and $45 after August 14.
Packet Pickup: Packets may be picked up at the Tanglefoot Gateway in Pontotoc starting at 6:30am on the morning of the event.
Support the Tanglefoot Trail®!: Net proceeds will be donated toward the ongoing maintenance of the Tanglefoot Trail. Our event has provided significant financial support to the Trail over the past three years and has been its top donor during this period. The Trail budget is quite limited and these donations have helped to meet its needs. Please consider supporting the Trail by entering even if you will be unable to attend. Thanks for your support!
