TENTATIVE DATE SET FOR 2019 PENDING PERMITS
Come hallucinate with us! This is the finale of our Trail Series! Run your best 3, 6, 12 or 24 hrs on a flat 1.2 mile loop course in North Georgia! Set in the scenic Boling Park in the small town of Canton, GA. It's a spooky night. While most people are in bed having nightmares of DNF races, you'll be accomplishing that Ultramarathon distance or PR that's been eluding you. (We had 100 mile finishers last year in the Summer version, Mid Summer Nights Dream Ultra!) Come run with a group of friends and/or meet other runners from around the country as you share a spooky October night on a trail. There is plenty of room in the open field in the center of the loop to set up your tents and personal aid stations. Come experience our "overstocked" aid stations we've become known for!
NOTE: 24 hour runners begin at 9 am.
ALL OTHER HOURLY EVENTS BEGIN AT 9 PM!!
All runners receive a finishers stained glass medal.
Placement Awards are given to the Overall Male and Overall Female of each wave.
24 hour runners or 100 miler runners also receive a Growler with the Super Cool Sleepy Hollow Logo on it!
If you can run 100 miles in 24 hours you get a Sterling Silver Belt Buckle!
***The shirts are 100% cotton. I don't know if they run true to size, these ones are new but I would think since they are 100% cotton get an extra size larger because it will shrink after you wash it. Shirts are always a gamble - especially when they are new! Shirt orders are placed on the 18th of Oct. after that your shirt size isn't guaranteed.***
This event will be held unless there is a tornado etc.
**We won't be mailing medals**
Here are some answers to your questions:
Yes, you can walk/run/crawl laps. If you need to take a break, you can. Some people sleep.
We give a portion of our proceeds to rescue children from human trafficking.
If you want to bring a group and have a team name you can do something like that. Ultra sign up doesn't do that but we'll announce it on FaceBook and at the race.
It is free to camp. However, if the field is wet we don't allow vehicles on the grass.
