Progress Towards Goal

Heart disease is the number 1 killer of women and men in America today. In fact, a woman dies almost every minute of every day ... every 34 seconds, someone in our country has a heart attack! Yet, 80% of the risk factors for heart disease can be prevented or managed!  Our mission is to raise awareness and educate women, men and children about making heart healthy choices and preventing heart attack and stroke! Our goal is to save lives and the future of our children!

How will your donations be used?

Donations made to The Heart2Heart Foundation will be used to fund awareness and educational programs that help teach the community about the dangers of heart disease and how to prevent it, to help promote heart health screenings to women and men, and to provide high-risk women with advance risk screening scholarships.

• Your $10 donation will provide Heart2Heart Bags filled with educational materials for 5 women
• Your $40 donation will provide an Advance Heart Health Risk Assessment with EKG for an at-risk woman in our area!
• Your $100 donation will help provide free heart health educational materials for community events

Since it's launch in 2013, The Heart2Heart Foundation has provided free heart health educational materials to several thousand women, men and children. You will find us at community events like the Come-See-Me Festival, SC Strawberry Festival and Summerfest in addition to corporate and community health fairs. Heart2Heart also provides free educational programs such as the Heart2Heart Women's Conferences, Lunch-n-Learns, Smoking Cessation classes, Doctor Chat programs and corporate wellness presentations. Within the past year, Heart2Heart has provided free Healthy Kid Bags to more than 800 school-age children and Fed Up DVDs with classroom discussion materials to Rock Hill middle and high schools as well as various community groups to help educate our teens.

Heart2Heart also partners with health care providers to make heart health screenings available to the general public at no cost. This year, the Foundation worked with Governor Nikki Haley's office, SC DHEC and healthcare providers from around South Carolina to launch the Statewide Screening Day initiative. In addition to their Heart Month Events, the Old Town Zombie Crawl is the organization's Fall awareness event in the York County area.
