Race Course: The course will be one (21km / 13 miles) or two laps (42km / 26 miles) on a 21km loop of rolling terrain (663 feet of climbing per 21km loop). The course circumnavigates the entire Skyway and County Line Trail Systems. Starting at Skyway, the course will follow Lions Loop to Scales Lake Road then Tower to Dog Loop. Aid Station #1 will be located at the Country Line Trailhead which is approximately 8.5km / 5.3 miles from the start. From here, the course will continue via Overlook to Tower to Kannah Crossing back to Vista Valley, Lions Loop to Sunset and finish at the Skyway parking area. Aid Station #2 (21km / 13 miles) is located at the Start/Finish line and the 42km racers will repeat the course in the same direction. The 42km racers will encounter Aid Station #3 at County Line TH at 29.5 km / 18.3 miles which is 12.5 km / 7.7 miles from the finish at Skyway.

Directions From I-70: Take Exit 49 - Powderhorn/Grand Mesa exit. Travel south on Highway 65 through Mesa and past the Powderhorn Ski area. Continue on Highway 65 for 10 miles; the Skyway parking area will be on the left. From Highway 50: At Delta, take Highway 92 to Cedaredge then take Highway 65 North to the top of Grand Mesa, continue past the County Line trailhead to Skyway, which will be on your right. Note: The Grand Mesa Nordic Loppet is a fundraising event for the Grand Mesa Nordic Council (GMNC), a volunteer, nonprofit organization of people who love to participate in Nordic sports on the Grand Mesa in Western Colorado. GMNC grooms over 54K of Nordic ski trails on the Skyway, County Line and Ward Trail Systems and provides one of the few Nordic ski areas in the U.S. without trail use fees. Funds raised will support our grooming operations.
