The Latin American Coalition, is the oldest and largest immigrant rights organization of the region, founded it 1990. LAC is a community of Latin Americans, immigrants and allies that promotes full and equal participation of all people in the civic, economic and cultural life of North Carolina through education, celebration and advocacy.
The Latin American Coalition envisions a diverse and vibrant North Carolina which embraces, supports and respects people of all cultures and backgrounds.
The Immigrant Welcome Center (IWC) provides language specific, culturally attuned programs and services to Latino families seeking crisis intervention, access to resources and capacity building opportunities. The IWC empowers individuals to meet immediate and long-term needs while working to eliminate systemic obstacles.
