About the 26th Annual Ashland Olympic and Sprint Triathlon

This triathlon combines scenic race courses, varied terrain, enthusiastic volunteers, and a convenient location. Plus it is put on by the most experienced race production company in the sport's history.

Race Day Packet Pick Up:

All packet pick up is done race morning. We open 1:30 minutes before the start of the event.

Emails will be sent usually Thursday prior to race with any specific details

The Race Course

The swim takes place in a placid reservoir surrounded by a pretty forest. Many participants say it is one of the prettiest open water swims around. The bike course follows a course through Hopkinton and Ashland with some nice hills, and includes a section on the famous Boston Marathon course. (The town of Ashland was where the original Boston Marathon had started). The run is an out and back course along scenic roads and rolling terrain.

The Olympic distances: Swim 1 Mile, Bike 26 Miles, Run 6.5 Miles

The Sprint distances: Swim 1/2 Mile, Bike 13 Miles, Run 3.2 Miles

Divisions and Awards

USA Triathlon age group divisions in five year increments are employed for this event, for example: 30 to 34 years, 35 to 39 years, etc. Age group is determined by age as of December 31, 2017.

Clydesdale category for men who weigh 220+ pounds and an Athena category for women who weight 165+ pounds. Also there is a relay category for three person teams.

Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group, and in the Clydesdale and Athena divisions, and to all three members of the top male relay team, top female relay team, and mixed relay team. And a random award or two may be given out at the race director's discretion.
